With so many amazing devices coming in the market, it is only fair that we compare them all to decide which one is the best among them all. Something like the king of the kings. We are very excited to see how it all pans out when we compare all these amazing devices and who comes up on top. So let’s start with the amazing comparison when we pitch the flagships of all the amazing companies, the Nexus 5, iPhone 5S, LG G2 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Nexus 5 vs iPhone 5s vs LG G2 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – World War

All the devices are flagships and have the highest specifications in them present in mobile phones across the globe. The displays in all the devices are Full HD displays except the iPhone 5S, but the pixel density varies since the display sizes of all the devices are different.

iPhone 5S: 4” LED Backlit LCD with 640 x 1136 pixels @ 326 ppi.
Nexus 5: 5” IPS LCD with 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 441 ppi.
LG G2: 5.2” IPS LCD with 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 424 ppi.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3: 5.7” Super AMOLED with 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 386 ppi.

iPhone 5S

Performance wise all the phones are top class. Among the four, 3 of them are Android, so hence they need some top of the line hardware to run them all. The iPhone though does not need that much high end hardware for the phones to run that smoothly. Hence the hardware on the 5S is not the best, but it is the best to run the iPhone. On the other hand the Android all have the latest Snapdragon 800 beast running under them.

iPhone 5S: Apple A7 Dual-core 1.3 GHz Cyclone coupled with PowerVR G6430 GPU.
Nexus 5: Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 coupled with Adreno 330 GPU.
LG G2: Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 coupled with Adreno 330 GPU.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 coupled with Adreno 330 GPU. Note: that the international version of the Note 3 has the Snapdragon 800 while some select markets have the Exynos 5 Octa Core processor with the Little Big architecture.

Operating System:
Here the real interesting test lies. All the 4 phones are unique in terms of the OS running on them. The iPhone has iOS running on it which is a very light and zippy OS which does not lag and does not need much horsepower to run smoothly as well. The other systems though run on Android but the unique part is that they all run Custom UI on the devices. The Nexus 5 has the latest stock version of the Android 4.4 KitKat which is yet to be released on other devices except on the Nexus devices. The Note 3 on the other hand has a custom Nature TouchWiz UI overlay over Android while the LG G2 has the custom LG UI overlay over Android. The thing is that the stock Android itself is so heavy, the UI overlays make it more heavy and thus making the operation laggy and hence the requirement of the large specs on the phone. But still the Samsung UI is much more operational with the added features whereas the Stock Android is the most customizable. The LG UI is almost similar to the Samsung UI with some custom LG tweaks to the overall feel of it.

iPhone 5S: iOS 7 upgradable to iOS 7.0.3
Nexus 5: Android 4.4 KitKat
LG G2: Android 4.3 JellyBean, planned upgrade to 4.4 KitKat
Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Android 4.3 JellyBean, planned upgrade to 4.4 KitKat

Google LG Nexus 5

Storage capacity and Main memory:
We are really disappointed in all these flagships except the Note 3 in one thing and that is the absence of expandable memory option. There two thing which you give in a mobile will always be less, storage memory and battery. Well, we cannot quite give infinite battery, that is both illogical and impractical but the memory issue can always be solved by providing expandable memory option so that the user can put in memory chips and increase the memory how much ever he/she wants.

iPhone 5S: 16/32/64 GB; 1 GB RAM
Nexus 5: 16/32 GB; 2 GB RAM
LG G2: 16/32 GB; 2 GB RAM
Samsung Galaxy Note 3: 16/32/64 GB, expandable upto 64 GB; 3 GB RAM

In the camera front too the phones do not disappoint at all but some are better than the others. Like the iPhone 5S has an 8 MP camera with OIS so does the Nexus 5, but the 5S camera has the iSight feature which means greater size of the pixels for better detail capturing. On the other hand the LG G2 and the Note 3 have a 13 MP snapper on the back which is totally amazing. The difference again here is that the camera on the Note 3 can shoot Ultra HD videos as well which the G2 cannot.

iPhone 5S: 8 MP iSight Camera with OIS
Nexus 5: 8 MP with OIS
LG G2: 13 MP with OIS
Samsung Galaxy Note 3: 13 MP Ultra HD video capability

All the phones are completely feature packed but some are more than others. The iPhone 5S comes with the latest and unique fingerprint scanner on the home button by which we can lock the phone with our fingerprints. Also are the inclusion of the latest versions and apps of Android plus the newest OS, the iOS 7. On the other hand the Nexus 5 has the latest Android working on it which has some great features like the inclusion of SMS and MMs into the Hangout app from Google. Also the Google cloud service started now which is similar to the iCloud from Apple. Plus there are many smaller tweaks in the OS which includes the transparent background display. The LG G2 has the most unique feature which is the presence of the volume rocker and the lock button on the back panel below the camera. This is the most unique feature of the phone which allows for the smallest bezel and hence this device has maybe the least amount of bezels on a smartphone. The Note 3 though is the most features packed. For starters it has the S-pen Stylus support. Also you can split the screen into two windows and run 2 apps at the same time. You can draw a box on the screen to open the app or maybe open an app in an app. Also there are the Samsung features like Air View, Smart Scroll, smart stay, etc.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Smartphones need huge batteries to keep them working for long, but the aesthetics and the weight and design of the phones do not allow for huge and heavy batteries. But still the manufacturers have tried their level best to fit in the best possible batteries in them

iPhone 5S: 1560 mAh
Nexus 5: 2300 mAh
LG G2: 3000 mAh
Samsung Galaxy Note 3: 3200 mAh

We rounded up and compared all the latest flagships in the market from Apple to Samsung and we have come to a conclusion as to which one is the best of them all. For the features, the battery, the OS, the memory and the camera, the Note 3 is undoubtedly the best phone of them all. All the others are also amazing but the Note 3 wins the day since it is offering so much more than all other devices. Second place would go for the Nexus 5 because it has the killer specs, the latest Android and most importantly the cheapest price for a flagship model. And third place would go for the LG G2 because it is also an amazing phone but it is still a bit lacking behind the Galaxy and Nexus. And finally it is the iPhone 5S. the latest figures might suggest something else but going from the practical standpoint, spending over INR 50,000/- on a phone without such a great design, no HD display, small screen, less RAM, small processor, good but yet not the best camera, seriously something does not add up right. People love it is a different thing, but again the overall comparison of the device still is not that great compared to the Android powerhouses.

Gaming on Android devices has come a long way and have become a literal treat. And now with the latest and fastest processor coming to the phones now with the Snapdragon 800 processor and Adreno 330 GPU at 450 MHz, you can be real sure that gaming with high graphic intensive games on the 1080p resolution screen is going to be a complete package deal now. So now that the Nexus 5 is out there with these killer specs, we decided to compile a list of some amazing games so that as soon as you get the device in your hand, you can start your gaming experience immediately.

Free Games download for LG Google Nexus 5 phone

Google LG Nexus 5

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour

If you are a fan of Modern Combat on PC or consoles, then you are surely going to like this game a lot. This is the fourth edition of this game with improved graphics, sound, storyline and gameplay as well. Also there are arrays of new guns which are available at your disposal. We really wish this was a free game, but unfortunately this is a paid game. So unless you are a hardcore gamer, you might refrain from it. But consider this, playing this game with the Snapdragon 800 processor and 1080p display, now that’s awesome.

Riptide GP2

This is maybe one of the most interesting racing game ever with amazing fast skis and tracks. There is more than enough here to keep you occupied for so long, that you might have to run like a ninja to get your phone to a charger as you might run out of juice with continuous playing for hours at a stretch. Just make sure that you do move your body around as well else you might end up a couch potato.

CSR Racing

This is maybe the best racing game to play on a 1080p screen. The features and detailing of the cars in the game is really awesome that is looks like a real car and also feels like racing one. On the other hand the gameplay and storyline is also pretty good and engaging. But this is recommended only because of the high graphics and the detailing in the game. You sure will love playing this game a lot and that is a guarantee.

Breach & Clear

This is a strategy game and contains combat and tactical stuff in it. You can choose your soldiers from the available list like the US Navy Seals, the US Armed Forces, etc. this game though is very challenging in the system of the phone and is absolutely not possible for it to work on small specs phones. So considering that your Nexus 5 has a Snapdragon 800, you sure don’t have anything to worry about with this.

Real Boxing

We have seen this game during the testing of the Nvidia chipsets and we have found this to be smooth on it. But actually this game is really harsh on the hardware and phone running below the clock speed of 1.5 GHz and that too quad core and coupled with a good GPU can run this game pretty smoothly. And since you have better than this, so you really don’t have to worry at all and enjoy the game in its full glory.

We compiled a list of 5 awesome games that you can play on the LG Google Nexus 5. There are many more games that you can play and enjoy but these games mentioned above are special because they have a large amount of graphics and look really awesome on a 1080p Full HD display. So let us know what you think about the games or any other games suggestions you got for the Nexus 5. Feel free to comment below with your queries and suggestions.

Google released the Nexus 5 recently and apparently within the first day itself, they are out of stock. Now this is amazing news for Google and LG, but it is a very bad news for all the competitors like Samsung who holds the market share for smartphones. Samsung too has introduced an amazing device in the market with similar specs as that of the Nexus 5, so it is quite fair to pitch both these devices against one another. So we are pitching the LG Nexus 5 against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and see which one comes out on top.

Complete comparison between Galaxy Note 3 and Nexus 5

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs. Google LG Nexus 5

Design and Looks:
The Nexus 5 looks pretty similar to the previous version, the Nexus 4 with some minute differences like the new ear piece on the device and ofcourse many others inside the body, but we will come to that later. The Galaxy Note 3 on the other hand has some new design from its previous Note 2. For starters it has finally gotten rid of the cheap plastic back cover and changed it with fake leather back with faux stitching around its border. It is also available in many new colours including pink whereas the Nexus 5 is available in only black and white colours.

Coming to the display, both the phones sport a Full HD display. Just the Note 3 has a 5.7” Super AMOLED display with 1920×1080 resolution @ 386 ppi. On the other hand the Nexus 5 has a 4.97” IPS LCD display with 1920×1080 resolution @ 445 ppi. the Nexus 5 has got greater pixel density here which is awesome compared to the Note 3, but still again the Note 3 has a bigger screen, so both have their own advantages.

This is where both these phones are pretty evenly matched. Both the devices are running on the Snapdragon 800 quad core clocked at 2.2 GHz for the Note 3 and 2.3 GHz for the Nexus 5. Both are coupled to the Adreno 330 GPU which is really cool. So you really need not worry so much about the performance of both the devices.

Operating System:
The Nexus 5 comes with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box which is great while the Note 3 comes with Android 4.3 JellyBean but is upgradable to 4.4 KitKat. Now the only question remains is that Note 3 will get its update whenever Samsung gets in the mood to push it, so when is Samsung going to get that? Samsung will also be releasing it with then TouchWiz UI overlay, so that is for sure going to take some time.

Storage capacity and Main memory:
The Nexus 5 comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB versions and does not have a memory card slot which is one disappointment from Nexus. The Note 3 on the other hand comes with 3 GB of RAM and 16/32/64 GB variants along with an expandable memory slot upto 64 GB. So in this case the Note 3 stands on top of the Nexus 5. Another main thing here is that since the Note 3 runs the TouchWiz UI, it requires more amount of RAM for smooth functioning; hence the 3 GB in the Note 3.

The camera on the Galaxy Note 3 is a 13 MP snapper on the back which is really amazing. It can shoot amazing photos and videos and also some great low light images as well. Also this is maybe the only camera after the Galaxy S4 to capture 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 60 fps. Though the OIS is absent on the Note 3, it is present on the new Nexus 5 which has an 8 MP snapper at the back that can shoot good snaps and also capture 1080p videos at 30 fps. Both the cameras have front facing cameras as well; the Note 3 has a 2 MP camera while the Nexus 5 has a 1.3 MP.

Now when it comes to features, the Note 3 has an upper hand here as it has many unique features like the ones present on the Galaxy S4. Apart from those Galaxy features, the Note 3 contains S Pen support which is a stylus support where you can divide the screen in half and enjoy multitasking. Also open an app in an app by just drawing a box, and also do many more such stuff. The Nexus 5 on the other hand has got Wireless charging built in as well as the new Google cloud service which will not allow you for seamless sync all your devices just the iCloud for Apple.

On the battery front, the Note 3 has a bigger size hence allowing for a bigger battery to fit in it. It has a 3200 mAh battery, but it also has a big screen and that too a Super AMOLED to run which is a huge battery guzzler. Hence for that also for rest of the stuff, the battery can last easily for upto 20 hours. As for the Nexus 5, the phone has a 2300 mAh battery which can power the phone for upto 17 hours which is not bad at all. So all in all, the Note has a battery advantage but the Nexus is not at all far behind.

We pitched the latest two flagship Androids, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the LG Google Nexus 5 we found out that even though with all the amazing things that the Note 3 has to offer, the Nexus 5 has been priced just way too competitively at just INR 28,999/- for the 16 GB version and INR 32,999/- for the 32 GB version. The Note 3 on the other hand is priced INR 48,000/- for the 16 GB version. So now we all know which one we are going to be choosing after all. You all feel free to comment down below if you will go for the Galaxy Note 3 or the Nexus 5 considering everything as well as the price point.

If you are a mystery fan then just close your novels and books and periodicals and your movies as well, because the biggest mystery is here. The LG Google Nexus 5 as it is called is the most expected smartphone of the year. Now the only problem is, there have been so many leaks about the phone, that we kind of have all the information about the phone including internal specs, the benchmark as well as the look of the phone. But still we have no idea why Google is still playing suspense-suspense with us.

Google Nexus 5

So let us recap what we do know about the LG Google Nexus 5 just so that we all are on the same page here. The LG Google Nexus 5 has a 5” IPS LCD Full HD display. Since the Nexus 5 does not have capacitive buttons, hence the 3 navigation keys are on the screen itself making the actual usable screen down to 4.97”. it has an 8 MP rear camera with Optical Image stabilization which is maybe a tad too late from Google to introduce it, but still better late than never. On the hardware front the device runs the best available chipset, the Snapdragon 800 quad core clocked at 2.3 GHz coupled with the latest Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. You look at this and you say that this is present in all the new phones. So what is so great about this device?

Well, here is what is great. The device will be running the latest version of Android which earlier was supposed to be called Android 5.0 KeyLime Pie but later Google scrapped it and names it Android 4.4 KitKat, named after the popular wafer chocolate. Now Google has neither released the official Nexus 5 yet, neither the OS, KitKat. Still the leaks of the phone have been so massive that with every single passing day something new about the phone surfaces. Either an image, or a new render, or some other detail and it has gone upto such a level that people have touted this as the most leaked and most mysterious device yet.

Now you might think, we know so much about the phone, then how come it is still a mystery? Well, the answer is simple. Nothing yet is official, so whatever info we are getting or is coming out is all leaks and could be rumors as well, we it is always recommended to take them with the usual pinch of salt. So until something official comes out, all this is speculation without any proof and hence still remains a mystery as to if all this is the truth or is Google going to launch another bomb at us.

There is one thing certain though that the LG Google Nexus 5 is going to cost $349 before taxes and subsidies. Google actually made it pretty clear to us about this by posting a leak or a teaser whatever you want to call it on the Google Play Store. So that is a confirmation about the presence of the device and that Google is going to launch the device soon, we just hope that it is soon.

People are so excited and curious about this device; many have actually put their plans of buying a new phone on hold and are waiting for the Nexus 5 to arrive so that they can get one. And frankly speaking even we are one of them. Now our only request for Google is that they please launch this device in India soon too and not keep us waiting. Let’s hope that they listen to us and get the Nexus 5 here soon as well.

Last we checked on Google Play Store India it showed coming soon, the price of Nexus 5 in India is approximately between 29800 to 33500 Rupees for 16 and 32 Gb versions
So let us know what you think of the Nexus 5 and what views do you share about the phone and are you waiting for the Nexus 5 for it to be your new phone? Do let us know by commenting down below.

We say India is growing and developing as a nation, but is it really the truth? We live under a great dome of here say where we are made to believe that India is gaining reputation as one of the great nations with a powerful economy, a great market but then why are we always neglected when it comes to all the good stuff. Not going into the economic and political factors here since this post is to do with electronics and mobiles.

mobile phones India Always Last

Let us consider some examples so that you will understand better what I am trying to portray here. Nokia recently held a world event where they released three new products in their premium Lumia range namely the Nokia Lumia 1520, the Nokia Lumia 1320, both Phablets and the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet. Agreed that Nokia is a global company, but then why not release these 3 amazing products in US and European markets first and not in India. There are people who yearn to buy premium Nokia products here as well. So we do not find it fair at all that India Always Last in the queue.
Secondly let’s take the case of Apple. Considered that Apple does not have that many consumers and users in India, but still India has a great premium market where people actually want to buy the premium Apple products. The iPhone 5 was launched in India had many takers, but it has been over 2 months now since the launch of iPhone 5S and 5C but there is still no signs of these products here as of yet. Also Apple launched the iPad Air and the iPad Air mini which are also slated to launch in the US in the coming weeks, but still no India. I do not really care about anything where it launches elsewhere all over the world, but we want these products here in India.

The third case is Google which has angered me a lot, literally. I am seriously fuming with anger here and if you were here poking me, I might actually poke you with my fork. Okay that was a bit too much maybe, but my point is that, Google makes this one amazing product namely the Nexus 5 made and distributed by LG. I even in my fit of rage tried to send a firing mail to Google complaining about this and then I even found some really amazing loopholes, or rather precautions taken by Google. I will get to it in a moment. The Nexus 5 though has not been officially launched, Google are planning to launch it in the US first and then in the European markets, but again there is no mention of India anywhere.
Now coming to the loophole / precaution, I was checking out a way to email Google or the Nexus branch complaining as to their neglect towards India. When I checked out Google search, their websites, etc. I found out that there are absolutely no options where you can email them to let them know our concerns. Now this is really shitty as hell, isn’t it? So they can just as easily do whatever they want and do not care for customer feedback at all.
I am greatly disappointed today, and I really don’t know what you feel about this, but let us know what you think down below in the comments section and then maybe we can get a campaign up to get these powerhouses to our land of gold here. So are you all with me?
