After releasing the two most affordable and high featured WP 8.1 platform Smartphone’s in association with Microsoft, Micromax has again decided to set their low end market on fire with the release of their brand new canvas Fire possessing highly adorable specifications under a low budget. This buttery smooth performing Smartphone is available at price range of around Rs. 6000. So let’s go through this adorable piece of art methodically and see what speciality has it got to impress low end crowd. This Smartphone flaunts a 4.0 inch display with screen resolution of 480×800 pixels and pixel density of 233 ppi.

Micromax Canvas Fire A093

The main specialty of this Smartphone resides in its operating System and processor. It possesses Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat operating system and an unknown Quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz speed. This is going to be the main origin of user attraction mostly in the people who love performance rather than a huge screen. Besides this high class processor, a 512 MB RAM is embedded in this Smartphone. The shortage of RAM is expected to be facilitated by the exceptional speed. The inbuilt storage just like others is 4B which is expandable via SD card and it doesn’t matter too much at this range. Besides this stunning processor, it sports a 5 MP primary camera with shot resolution of 2592×1944 pixels and provided with LED flash. The additional camera features include geo tagging, panorama and HDR. However a VGA camera is used as a front shooter. This feature is the victim of this range.

This Smartphone is compatible with 2G as well as 3G networks and supports WIFI, latest Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, etc. It’s going to be powered by a Li-ion 1750 mAh battery giving talk time of 7 hours. This talk time isn’t exceptional but good for an average Smartphone. These are the features of Micromax Canvas Fire which is expected to be the best in its class. Micromax still need to be admired here for creating a Smartphone under such a low range with high end processor and most up to date operating system. There are only few minimized things which you would have to compromise in this Smartphone. RAM will be 512 MB so you would have to optimize it according to your need if you want the best performance of your Smartphone. Doing this, it will give you a good rated mobile experience. Video calling and other services will be little suffocated but still will go on with VGA camera.

There are a lot of Smartphone presently having a VGA front faced camera. So you can use it in good amount of light. The battery backup is also averagely good which will give you a good day of usage and nothing much can be expected in this standard. The rest of the features are worth paying the price especially processor is heat melting and for low end users, this Smartphone is a pleasant choice to go for.

Google Chrome is the best known web browser known so far providing smoother and easy to use user interface for Smartphone’s. It is serving the Android Smartphone’s since past two years. Chrome has got compatibility with all the latest plug-ins because it’s being checked and updated regularly. A lot of different versions of Google chrome have been updated so far to debug every little problem and the improvements are really working well. Chrome features some unique features in Smartphone’s which give it a rich browsing experience. Some of those unique features include hardware acceleration, page pre rendering, device orientation, geo location and many more amazing features. However, some claims have been noticed about chrome beta which articulates that instant crash of Chrome on opening multi tabs is being noticed. This crush was detected in Canvas 2 recently which is otherwise a good Smartphone. This might be because of a minor bug or due to missing libraries in your chrome beta, but there are some fixes available which you can try and check the improvement in your chrome beta.

Google Chrome Browser

1. You just need to delete the application completely from your Smartphone and install it from Play Store.Do this only after clearing cache through some cache cleaner and make sure proper space of RAM is available for chrome beta to run.

2. If this problem is due to missing libraries then you just need to use root explorer and extract /data/app/ anywhere on your SD card and then go to lib/armeabi_v7. Copy the libraries and paste them in /data/dat/ After this your Google chrome beat will work properly if missing libraries were causing the crash.

3. The last thing you can do is move back to the previous version of chrome which will be crash proof. Some of the people have also experienced fewer crashes after the new update so you can try that also and see if it works.

Actually the main problem is that chrome beta is an unfinished business. The word beta is used when there’s something more stable to arrive and it’s just temporary. Chrome browsers provides an immense browsing experience on PC, Google is trying to plant that experience in your Smartphone and provide you with the best crash free web browsing. So, you should use different range of web browsers till the most stable version of chrome arrives if the above remedies are not successful. Hope you find our solutions successful.

A new addition to the ’Great Android Phone Collection’ is the new Micromax Canvas Turbo A250. Packed with a bunch of cool new ideas, Micromax, which is most renowned for making great phones that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, gives other Smartphone manufacturers a run for their money.

Micromax turbo a250

Design, Hardware and Specs

This particular model has an aluminum chassis with plastic covering on the top and bottom, which is a definite plus considering radio wave reception and durability. The edges are nice and round, and small thing that really makes a difference is that the headphones go in at the bottom of the device. Might be a little strange at first, but makes it more comfortable when listening to your favorite tunes on the way.

It provides slots for two micro-SIM cards, but on the downside it lacks the possibility of memory expansion, so you’re stuck with 16 gigs of internal memory, of which you only have control over 12.47 GBs. To make things worse there is no way to remove the battery.

It still shouldn’t be a deal breaker, considering that it has a beautiful 5” Full HD screen with a resolution of 1080×1920, and Continuous Grain Silicon technology, which provides fantastic viewing angles, and the 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT 6589T Quad Core processor takes care of all your seamless multitasking needs. The device flashes a primary (13Mp) and a secondary (5Mp) camera. The primary camera makes sharp and crispy images, can take panorama pictures, create gifs, has a great performance when using flash, but tends to focus slowly, which is really annoying when you try to shoot anything other than portrait photos.

Micromax Canvas Turbo A250

Media, Apps and OS

The Canvas Turbo comes with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, a cool ’Blow-to-Unlock’ feature, and with apps that use it to it’s fullest extent. A document viewer and an Excel application is a ’must-have’ these days, while the ’ifloat’ app lets you take control of the phone’s multitasking capabilities, splitting the screen for when you want to browse without stopping the work flow. When it comes to video, the developers kept almost everything that worked in Canvas 4. Simple and beautiful layout, great speaker sound, lagless playback, and the Intuitive Gesture Control provides the video player with the ’Look Away’ function, which pauses the video you are watching when you are not paying attention. Not to mention that all the most popular and widespread video formats are supported.

What really turns your smile into a frown when we talk about video is the battery life. It might last more than a day with wifi or bluetooth off, but with these turned on, it barely lasts 6 hours. Video drains the battery, and call time is only 2 hours.

All in all

Considering price and performance, the Micromax Canvas Turbo is a great buy for anyone who wishes to take advantages of all of it’s features. True, you will not watch a full season of Breaking Bad on it while taking photos of Usian Bolt on the track with a single charge, but it is perfect for those workaholic multitaskers and for the average users, who only use a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.

The Micromax Canvas series is already in demand by people they have added a new phone into their canvas series. Micromax has recently announced its new phone with the name A110Q Canvas 2 Plus. Micromax Canvas 2 Plus A110Q

If you see this phone then you will find that this phone is very much similar to the earlier phones from Micromax like the A116 Canvas HD. Both of these phones are having same sac. The display screen of the A110Q is bad as compared to the other phone. They have launched this new phone with the price of Rs. 12,100. When you look at the specifications of this phone then I am sure that you will find it not a bad deal. As this phone is having low resolution, so you are going to get decent battery life with this phone. This phone has a big screen and so playing games, browsing internet, viewing images and videos, reading ebooks are going to be a good experience. The resolution of this phone is low but there is an obvious reason for this as the display size of this phone is large. Overall, this is a decent phone to buy and worth for its price.

Micromax has aggressively penetrated the budget friendly Indian market. With the success of A116 Canvas HD, it really is taking the market by storm. The A115 Canvas 3D didn’t live up to the hype we expected it to, but overall it’s a decent phone for people with a budget of only 10k.Obviously, with reduced price there has to some cost saving from the manufacturer’s side as well. The processor has been reduced to dual core as same as the canvas 2, resolution is 480×800 pixels, even lesser than the canvas 2, don’t know why Micromax did that. RAM has been lowered to just 512Mb; Camera is a 5 megapixel shooter with no HD recording capabilities. NO GPU as well. The only extra feature is the ability to shoot 3D videos and play 3D games, don’t know why anybody would want such a feature when there is no HD capability available on the device. Keeping the disappointing specifications aside, the good news is we have managed to provide a link to the PC suite and driver software required for data and media transferring purpose from your phone to your PC and vice versa. The same can be found below the post. Also, the minimum requirement has also been provided.

The much touted and ‘suspense-driven’ Canvas 4 from Micromax made to the dashboard in an unveiling molded out as the next BIG thing after Canvas HD. While Micromax Canvas HD had all the right notes hitting for it; it is somehow going to be a challenging task for this iteration to evoke a similar response to its predecessor received.

On the hardware front, Canvas 4 is a modest product especially so after all the hype it generated over ‘no specs’ promotion during its early days. Resting on the laurels of Canvas HD, Micromax objectified their promo prints to build an audience; and they were darn successful. We see a rather ‘standard’ or ordinary rise in the hardware profile which most competent phones exhibit market wide today.

The specifications of Micromax Canvas 4:Micromax Canvas 4

  • Display: 5-inch capacitive touchscreen (1280x720p resolution);
  • Operating system: Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean);
  • Processor: 1.2GHz Mediatek 6589 quad-core CPU, PowerVR SGX 544 graphics chip;
  • RAM: 1GB;
  • Storage: 16GB internal storage with support for up to 32GB micro SD card;
  • Camera: 13MP camera, 5MP front-facing camera;
  • Connectivity: 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS; and
  • Battery: 2,000mAh

The Canvas 4 has a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 294ppi which is very crisp and clear. The color reproduction, brightness levels and contrast ratio are simply great with good viewing angles. The screen is made of gorilla glass making it scratch-resistant. Out of the many in-house tweaks in Canvas 4; one to have gained a special mention is the ‘Blow to Unlock’ feature which allows users to blow air on the screen to unlock the device. It will be noteworthy to monitor its sensitivity levels and adjacency calibration in real world scenarios.

Apart from making direct comparisons with BLU Life One for its design and overall profiling. The build quality of the phone is pleasing to the eyes and appears premium in this price range. The aluminum frame defines the contours of the phone making it look elegant and robust. It also doubles up as a reception antenna which boosts signal strength.

Canvas 4 has not made much advancement in their chipset technology keeping it on par with Canvas HD; well almost. It has a nominal 1GB RAM to 16GB of storage capacity further expandable to 32GB via micro SD Card. We see the device having all the required connectivity included in the form of GPRS/Edge/HSPA with Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phone has the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on it.

This phone also comes with many software enhancements with addition of new features. Proximity dialing, proximity call answering, upside speaker, upside silent, smart pause are some of the features in Smart Gesture. Proximity dialing will dial a contact on screen when the phone is brought near to the ear. Upside speaker will turn the speaker phone on when the phone is kept upside down during an ongoing call. A feature seen in Samsung phones, the ‘Smart Pause’ will pause the playing video if the user looks away from the screen. Other features such as Video Pinning are equivalent to ‘Pop-Up Play’ feature in Samsung which lets you view a video in a small window while you continue doing other tasks. It also supports Simultaneous Viewing which means playing 2 videos in a side by side preview.

The camera on this phone is a 13 megapixel shooter and a surprisingly generous 5 megapixel front camera. There is support for full HD video recording at 1080p and has other features such as face/smile detection, geo-tagging, touch focus to add. The camera supports a cool four way panorama which means shooting a panoramic image from left to right and vice versa; vertical angles; top to bottom and from bottom to the top. The camera can also shoot in burst mode with up to 90 shots in 15 seconds. It also supports an HDR mode.

The phone packs a load of features and holds a lot of promise in this segment of smart phones. But it seems to have left the dressing room in a jiffy with only a 2000 mAH battery in its backpack. With so much more going for it, a beefier battery could have ironed out a couple of creases.

The Canvas 4 on hardware front has only got camera upgrades and a standard 16GB storage to offer over its predecessor. But it has a lot of unique software tweaks up its sleeves and all this at a price of Rs.17999/- Should this considered a worthy upgrade and justifies the price! Well, only time can tell. But if you are already using Canvas HD and planning to make a switch, then you may also consider other competitive options available under the same price range.
