Recently a report popped out stating that Micromax has succeeded to gain top position. Micromax has overtaken the position in race of Smartphone sales as one of the leading manufacturer in India. But, with this piece of news it seems that Samsung has got frustrated and also have reported a statement to rub-off this news.
Korean giant ‘Samsung’ claims that it maintains the high position in India by running long way. According to the information of research firm GfK, Samsung has earned around 34.3% in 2014’s last quarter. While, its market share is around 35.8% to note in whole year, and its market shares comes up with 40.2%.
Micromax Leads in Sales as per recent report Samsung in Second Place
With this number game, Samsung claims that it still holds the highest gainer position of Smartphone manufacturer. The Samsung also states that its market share is ‘more than double’, and turning to its value share of market its ‘more than 4-times’ from its tough competitor Micromax. Need to check what Micromax officials has to state on this Samsung’s statement.
The Canalys report has some different reports to share with, it claims that Micromax control over 22% of market share as compared to Samsung which holds 20%.
Asim Warsi, Vice President of India operation said that, ‘In 2014 we continued to gain more and more customers with exciting and innovative product and service with a volume share of 35.7% which is quite double. As per GfK data tells us that 50,000 of products were sold off.’
