  • Take a full backup of your phone.
  • Root your phone and install CWM recovery mode prior to the installation of Android 4.3 JellyBean.
  • Download 4.3 JellyBean HTC One X ROM.
  • Charge your phone fully or atleast 90%.
  • Enable USB debugging mode from Settings and Development options.

Now let’s start with installation process of HTC One X with new Android 4.3 JellyBean.

  1. You should install ROM manager on to your HTC One X from Google Play store.
  2. Connect your phone to computer and copy the HTC One X 4.3 JellyBean zip file to the phones SD care or external memory and save it in root folder of SD memory.
  3. Disconnect your phone from computer and turn it off.
  4. Now start your phone with Recovery mode with the help of ROM manager. In ROM manager you need to select Backup/restore to backup option and make a full backup of your phone.
  5. Come back to the Recovery menu and choose with Total data erase (including Dalvik Cache). This will erase all your phones data and current ROM so that new ROM gets space to install.
  6. Now after the data erase, come to Recovery menu and choose to Flash ROM from SD card and move to the location where “HTC One X_4.3” file and follow the instructions for installing Android 4.3 JellyBean.
  7. Wait till the installation completes and reboot your phone after installation and you will find that your phone is now operating of new Android 4.3 JellyBean.

1) You should not use this process to install Android 4.3 JWR66V OTA update on other device as this will brick your device.
2) Follow the instruction carefully.
3) This will void warranty of your device, so make sure before proceeding.

1) You need to download Android SDK on to your computer.
2) Charge your Nexus fully or atleast with 80% charge.

  2. Turn on your Google Nexus 4 device and boot in to Bootloader/Fastboot mode. You can enter to this mode by pressing and holding Volume UP, Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously.
  3. Now go to Recovery mode by pressing volume up and then press Power button to boot your device in Recovery mode. (When you see an Android Robot icon the you have to press and hold the power button and then press Volume up button once which will let your device to boot in recovery mode)
  4. In the Recovery menu you have to select ‘apply update from adb’ option and then connect your device with PC via USB.
  5. On computer, lanch Command Prompt window and give the path of ‘’ and enter to the next command line for installing the firmware file adb sideload and start flashing of your device.
  6. Flashing of Android 4.3 JWR66V firmware will take time and after the completion of flashing process, you phone will reboot automatically.
  7. After the flashing process complete you will find that your device is now running on latest Android 4.3 firmware.
