Windows Phone 8.1 update is one of the much awaited update from Microsoft but finally Microsoft has announced that they will release Windows Phone 8.1 update in spring. Windows Phone 8.1 will support all existing Windows Phone 8 devices but vice president and manager for Windows Phone Program Management, Joe Belfiore waiting for MWC to reveal these things. Windows Phone 8.1 will come with hardware support for Snapdragon 200, 400 and LTE chipsets. They will also add on-screen button with 8.1 update.
Because of these changes, OEM’s will be able to produce devices which are cheaper as compared to their earlier devices and they can also reuse their existing droid devices. Windows Phone 8.1 update will also let you to install applications in your memory card. So you can have more number of applications installed in your phone without worrying about memory which was one of the biggest disadvantages earlier.
It is possible that new devices will come with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GM of memory. Windows Phone 8.1 will have DUAL SIM support and live tiles for both SIM which you can link with user interface. Other than Windows Phone 8.1 update, Microsoft also announced some of its hardware partners in their press conference. Microsoft has not given much information regarding their upcoming Windows Phone 8 but it is expected that they will put more light on WP 8.1 at their BUILD developer’s conference which is to be held in April.
