Samsung has already unveiled Samsung Galaxy S5 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and from then it started to be available in many markets across the Globe. Following to this, Samsung has also announced that they will be releasing a Dual-SIM version of Galaxy S5 in China. One of the largest wireless carrier China Telecom, launches Samsung Galaxy S5 dual-SIM version and it is now officially available. China Telecom has about 185 million subscribers and it make it to stand in top 10 in world. With addition of Samsung Galaxy S5 dual-SIM version, Samsung is expanding their Galaxy S5 lineup. It seems a bit strange that Samsung did this very quietly. They don’t even had a press release for it.
If you check specifications for Samsung Galaxy S5 dual-SIM version then most of the specifications are same as international Snapdragon powered variant but missed out LTE antenna and this is a big miss from them. Samsung Galaxy S5 dual-SIM has a model designation G9009D. It will come with price tag of CNY5,299 ($850). Samsung Galaxy S5 dual-SIM version will also be launched with other variants on April 11.
It comes with a 5.1 inch full HD display screen that gives resolution of 1920x1080p. There is 2.5 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2 GB RAM support. At rear of the device, it has 16 megapixel camera and at front it has a 2 megapixel camera for video calling. There is 16 GB internal memory in it and it can be expanded with its mocroSD card slot. All these are supported with a 2800 mAh removable battery. Just like international Snapdragon powered variant, Dual SIM variant is also dust and water resistant with IP67 certification. Samsung Galaxy S5 G9009D is currently available in for China Telecom subscribers but we can expect that it will enter in other countries any time.
