Sprint has announced that all HTC One users can update their devices with Android 4.4 Kitkat which is latest version of Android operating system. But Kitkat update will not be available in usual method. All users will have to initiate a manual update request in order to get Kitkat update on their device. So this is very good news for all the HTC One owners. As it is latest version of Android operating system, there is no doubt that update will boost your device performance.
If you are a regular Android user then you must be knowing how to update it manually. For all those, who dont know manual method for update can simply go to settings. From there you have to scroll down at bottom and you will get “Sprint software update” option. Open that and then tap on “Check for update”. As you do that, it will start searching for available update. After that you just need to follow some simple on-screen instructions and Kitkat will be installed on your phone.
Apart from Android 4.4 Kitkat, update will also bring latest version of HTC sense which is 5.5. So far only manual update is available and Sprint is going to start automatic OTA update from 11th February 2014. But people dont like to wait and so it will be better to go for manual update.
