Apple has introduced their new iBook Textbooks in 51 countries and iTunes U Course Manager is available in 70 countries. iBook Textbooks, a multimedia textbook is also introduced in India. There are many of the dynamic and interactive content available in it like animations, 3D diagrams, videos and photo galleries. So, this ibook is completely designed for study purpose and target people for iBook are teachers and students.
iBook Textbook has many educational content. These contents are from some of the famous publishers like Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press and Hodder Education. These publishers are most preferred in US and UK and so there is no doubt that iBook will be loved by people in US and UK. Now, we have to see that what apple will do to attract Indian customers.
Other than this, Apple has also said that they will expand the iTunes U Course Manager. They listed total 70 countries for their iTunes U Course Manager expansion but InDia is not included in the list. iTunes U Course Manager is very useful from teachers point of view. Teachers can create educational content plan and then share that with other educator in the world. So it works as a good source to share educational knowledge and resources.
