Google recently announced few products in India yesterday, but launch of the Music service was not available among them. For the people who were eagerly waiting for or Google fans must have noticed that the Google Music came online today. Google Play Music was launched with few caveats. Yes, the application does not include ‘All Access’ streaming service and no radio or podcast. Each track will come at price of 15INR while the album will come at 90INR.
Google Play Music was launched in 2011 in the US, it took a long time to land in India. But India is key focused as Sundar Pichai who was born in India will surely make his way to India according to a recent op-ed. Not just India is trying to take over China, but its INTERNET revolution too is increasing. Google Music is entering in congested market, where Apple Music and Australian Guvara are already racing as international players. While domestic rivals like Gaana owned by times Internet, Saavn is already racing and have raised $100 million leads.
Users in India can be able to see the Music section in Play store, with option to purchase. The purchase option will be available on the web and play Music app. Google will also be providing multiple Indian language along with international music.
