Dual booting was the concept tried by many companies, but were not effectively successful. Companies like Intel, Asus, Samsung and others companies eventually cancelled the projects as they were unable to have the dual booting of Windows and Android in the device. Even Microsoft had reservations about this concept. However the Chinese company Elephone picked up the idea and has announced that they have their upcoming handset will have Android 5.0 Lollipop and Windows 10 in dual booting. Similarly the second version of the handset will have only Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Dual both Windows OS and Android on Elephone
Elephone will launch the new handset with 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 2560 X 1440 pixels. The model with single OS Android 5.0 Lollipop will have 64-bit Media Tek MTK 6795, while the other dual booting capable device will carry Intel Atom Chip. The cameras in both the devices are also different and the dual booting device is likely to have 20.7 MP camera of the Sony IMX 230 make.Elephone will launch both the versions of single OS and the dual booting device with massive 4 GB RAM. Both the devices will carry fingerprint scanner and a powerful battery of 3800 mAh calibre.
The pricing of these two devices, however is not made public by the company till date. Yet the handsets are expected to be quite reasonably priced to be well within range and are affordable by the customers. For all those who are highly impressed with the dual booting, there is an opportunity to have the Elephone handset which gives the dual booting system. Elephone handsets available in the market however are not known to be very attractive or impressive, however there are few of the models which are reasonably good.
