Any news related to Apple must hit the headline and grab the top space to gain more attention. Apple being users’ favourite many news keep on revolving around the brand. But this time Apple Inc quoted that they might be recalling ‘Beat Pill XL Wireless Portable Speaker’, which went under hazard and fire due to overheating of batteries. Around 222,000 speakers will be recalled in the United States and also 11,000 in Canada, this was the statement quoted by the CPSC- Consumer Product Safety Commission. Till the date, Apple has registered around eight overheating reports. The company has not officially disclosed a number of complaints registered, but has said that there is no issue with Beat or other Apple product.
Apple also said that they will refund $325 for people who have received faulty speakers, which were introduced in the year 2013 November. The Apple officials have also agreed to purchase Beats for whooping $3 billion in the year 2014- May. This might give a jump-start to Apple in Music streaming iTune sector. Apple is not recalling products for the first time.
Apple had already launched the replacement program last year in August for iPhone. They admitted that few Smartphones which were sold between September 2012 & January 2013 were faulty with batteries. While, in the year 2011 iPad2 tablets were recalled for few connectivity issues.
